This trend, known as the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) invasion, is shifting the way in which devices are procured, paid for, managed, and supported. 

While at first it appears to radically lower the cost of enterprise mobility by making productivity and communications advantages available to a much broader group of employees, the BYOD model also introduces new risks and may significantly increase an organization’s costs if the BYOD activity is not properly managed.
